    Forum speak and abbreviations

    For the folk on here that may be a bit 'oldskool' for forum speak and common abbreviations.

    These are the common ones on car forums.

    LOL - laugh out loud
    AFAIK - as far as I know
    BTW - by the way
    FIWI - for what its worth
    HTH - hope this helps
    IMO - in my opinion
    LOAO - laughing our arses off
    ROFL - roll on floor laughing
    FYI - for your information
    IIRC - If I Recall Correctly
    IMHO - In My Humble (or Honest) Opinion
    IANAL - I am not a lawyer
    PITA - pain in the ass
    STFU - shut the f#%k up
    HTFU - harden the f#$k up
    IME - in my experience
    QFT - quoted for truth
    CBF - Cant be f#%ked
    WTF - what the f#%k
    FFS - for f#%ks sake
    OP - original post(er)

    No FTW usually means 'for the win' which is just young people speak for 'on a winner' or something similar.

    You might also see FTL (for the loss).
