    New look forum

    No kidding it's new software!

    Looks a fair bit different.

Not sure I like it but I'm sure it will grow on me/people.

Lots of stuff in a different place, but it has to be better right? Right!?

I reckon we can ditch the santa smilies now...

    hello all
i think its now looks a little better and more 'cortina' as it was before

    still working on it

if you are not sure about what the new icons on posts and threads mean check the 'icon legend' on the bottom of the page as it will tell you what each means

    Ted I've asked & asked & asked & aske.............................................. ................

one of my other vices are HK Monaros, so am also a member of oldholden.com. The web host, who "loves doing it" finally asked for some donations, and last count had 50 "site sponsors". the information that we all glean for these sites is invaluable in keeping our old cars on the roads. more than happy to donate!!!!!!!!!

Great work, Jewels. A bit weird to begin with, but getting really nice. Look forward to finding the "all albums" button again, but loads of kudos for the upgrade. Makes us all feel important and well cared for, no - honest!

    Jewels,

I just wanted to say that nobody really knows me on this forum except a few, heck I've only posted around 34 posts, but I would really like to say with this post that this forum is one of the nicest I've frequented and with this upgrade it's looking even better!
Nice going you guys and thanks again for a great Mk1 Cortina site!!!

i do think once we are all used to it

i think it will be uniquely MK1 cortina forum

think it does look much better and more professional now

was thinking about a chat room
    what do you think ?

    any other suggestions are welcome

tedidesign, while i appreciate the suggestions on contributions people who know me will know im not willing at this stage to do that

as i want to try and keep adds and banners from the site as much and for as long as i can

but if people want to help placing a add (which is free to list and free to sell NO charge what so ever) on the classified site of any part for any classic ford you have lying around i would be grateful

as im trying to build that site up and increase its use for all classic small fords

Im really surprised that more people dont use the classifieds section... Andrew Hardies site used to have heaps of stuff posted daily. Strange that more people dont use it...

I've already forgotten what the old site looks like, so the new one must be better. top stuff.

I'm sure DD that the classifieds will kick off, could be just an awareness thing? (by the way are you still in Darwin?)

there is a spell check of sorts mol

when you see the 'squiggly red line under a word it indicates you may have spelled it wrong

what browser are you using ? .... i hope firefox

  18. #18
    pmolly Guest
    Yep fire fox

So theres no spell check like Word with alternative suggestions ????

I guess I'm getting slack in my old age

Wot about the Chat Room ????????

    Question Email Suggestion

Another forum I'm on has an email option - you can subscribe to the forums you're interested in, new posts get emailed to you, so you can read them when you have time. Bottom line is you don't miss any posts.

It's not for everybody, but it works for me :-)

woody that has always been an option on this one also

you just need to go into you settings and enable it

as for chat mol its just a live thing back and forth requires typing like ICQ and MSN messenger

when you type a obvious spelling mistake dont you see the 'RED squiggly' line underneath indication a spelling error ?
