How many brackets are there to secure the centre console to the floor on a MK1 GT?
The parts book shows a large bracket that goes just infront of the gear lever gator and a series of small L shaped brackets.
The reason I ask is I recent bought some brackets and I got the large one shown in the parts book and a similar shaped one , but its a lot narrower (not in the parts book) I'm wondering of the second bracket I have is original and if so where on the console should it be located.
If you have any pics showing the brackets mounted to the floor that would be useful.

There should be three brackets in total.
One at the front, full width with a return at each end, attached to the rearmost screws holding down the remote shifter to body, rubber boot, one in the middle, full width with a return at each end, about half way along and
one at the rear, angle bracket, below the ashtray screwed to the floor through the carpet.
There is also a fibreglass piece that fits below the carpet about half way along that holds the carpet up under the console. The six retaining screws are phillips head with cup washers. Hope this helps.

Thanks Euro , seems like I have the front and middle brackets. Is the rear bracket full width as well?

Yep, the rear one is full width. Just a simple right angle bracket. It has two "j" nuts
on the verticle leg to accept the screws from the back face of the console.
