Hi everyone,
I'm very new to Owning a Cortina - as recent as 2-weeks it's a Mk11 1969
& at present i'm attempting to set the tappets.
would anyone know what the settings are ?

I've always used the "adds to 9" method, valve #1 closed adjust valve #8, valve #2 closed adjust valve #7, #3 closed adjust #6, etc.
It works like this,
#1 & #6 open allows you to adjust #3 & #8
#2 & #4 open allows you to adjust #5 & #7
#3 & #8 open allows you to adjust #1 & #6
#5 & #7 open allows you to adjust #2 & #4
Clearances are 0.008" intake and 0.018" exhaust for a standard cam (0.010 and 0.022" for a GT cam) but you may find a reground cam will have less of a ramp which may require you to tighten the clearance a little to keep the rattle to a minimum.
