1966 cortina nissan project

hey guys.

great to see a site dedicated to these brilliant little cars, keep it up!!

i know that you guys must be really sick of getting questions about this conversion but i want to attempt to, at some point in the future, put an SR20DET nissan engine and 5 speed box into my 1966 cortina 440.

now i am very new to the whole process of an engine conversion like this so any help with

-what sort of fab work with regards to mounts, mods etc.. im looking at
-problem areas
-tailshaft and diff arrangement
-what i have to adhere to to get it engineered and road registered
-any other info that i could find helpful.

would be absolutely tops!

i spose you are aware about of our conversion page

the purple 4 door featured over thew website was fully legal and engineered for victorian road use

its conversion was as it is seen on the conversion page so those changes and mods were engineered by a VASS

when the car was sold there were no dramas in transfering rego or RWC

so it can be done
