Dr D great trip with a few minor probs with the car , rear shocker parted company with the body under the parcel shelf. and a blocked fuel filter.:rofl

Small turn out @ Bells as news letter was 2 late.

BUT we all had a great day with the SFA run to Reefton. What a great road to blow the cobwebs away.:driving

I have not recieved one of my four newsletters on time yet. It's a little frustrating. Particularly when there are much faster electronic options these days...

You have seen my in the flesh Phil. You goose. When I came to work that time...

Blocked fuel fliter you can handle but the shock is a bit different. Bit of reinforcing needed?

Yep , very frustrating. We are going 2 send out email alerts as a back up BUT we really need to organise 2 send them out electronically.

Not a real problem with shocker , not allowed to weld as petrol smell too strong.:argue

The boys fabricated a large "Plate" and bolted this to the body.and then bolted the shocker to this.

(We have had a strong petrol smell for 7 years, thought it was the breather from long range tank BUT to reinforce the mounting points , back in Melb. we took the tank out, only to find some DH had drilled a hole at the very top , I can remember mounting a Fire extingusher there but had second thoughts as it may bounce around in the case of an accident. U can't see behind the steel partition between the tank and the rear of the car. Live and learn :oops

As the other side had been ripped out about 6 year ago , we have reinforced both sides and have ordered 2 new Konis. Could not be rebuild as they had the sh..t beaten out of them

Will be replacing front inserts as well , travelled about 120000 very hard ks
