Hi Guys - I'm trying to find out what vintage race series around the globe MK1 Cortina's could be seen racing in. In the UK we have the Masters Tophat , HSCC and then the annual events like the Silverstone Classic and Goodwood Revival. In mainland Europe there is the U2TC , but whats happening in the US ,Oz , NZ and anywhere else? :driving

Up here we have a national historic series, FIA applied. In Denmark, Norway and Finland they have the similar.
There are also some pure national events with national rules in Denmark and Finland. Here something started growing called Retroracing, using cars from pre -75 but with more modern engines, it died out before it got started but people still build cars for that series so it might come back. There is something like that in Finland to, a friend of mine have plans on a Anglia with Hayabusa engine.
In Norway they have no serious racing series for Retro cars / classics, but they have their very spectacular trackmeets...

Nb is pre-65 in australia (find mk1s here)
Nc is pre-72 (more your GT Falcons, Comaros, Mustangs and Escorts and Mk2 Cortinas)
Australia also has the Biante Historic Touring Car Champ which runs under modified Nc rules.
Other than that Tarmac rallies are popular for Mk1s like Targa Tasmania and the Dutton Rally.
Hope this helps.
