Hey Jewels,
thanks for all the info, very, very helpful. I'm running original top strut mounts not as good as the ones in the pics, mine all broken ha ha. You have any for sale interested in buyig some of u. Even a second hand rubber just to see if the purspects fits in, i have this feeling it wont and don't wanna buy one if i don't need to, may just screw the rear window in for the drags.

yea they are reco items picture above...we used to sell these on a changover basis...but the manufacture could not supply them anymore due to some of the chemicals being banned... these reco were around $220 a pair...

it may be best for you to use a k-mac version all of them are pretty dear now around $300 to 400 a pair

go into the business section and look under aftermarket strut tops
or HERE (http://www.cortina-mk1classifieds.com/forum/showthread.php?t=374)

Thank Jewels,
Wanna try and use original struts only because i don't know if the car will twist with the power. The 400 clevo ran 11.5 in a xd with a manual behind it. In the mk-1 weighing 800kgs she's ganna move. Even good second hand ones would be good, my struts have pushed through the top. Once i know the car runs well i'll go for the kmac, but to spend that money the car will wanna go straiaght first and not have no problems with the rolling.
