Well thats what the Mk1 looked like a few months ago,its now in bits having a make over !!
It will be an every day car & due to the cost of our petrol (£1.10 a ltr) it will run LPG too. LPG here has a bit of a stigma to it ?? but i like to rock the boat !!
The mod's are Pinto,5speed,baby atlas with 3:09 diff,Mk3 capri front suspension & column,Mk1 capri 1600GT roll bar..... here are a few more pics

This is the Mk3 capri 2.8 rear springs With an extra leaf to help with the lpg tank in the back, these bolt staight in using the capri shackles & ubolt pads

This is how much i had to take out of the axle width each side
http://i169.photobucket.com/albums/u217/hellblue/24v%20mk2/LPG%20mk1/STA60002.jpg
This is the new trans tunnel & capri pedals, the ripples in the floor under the pedels are from the fact that in the cars early years it had a whole new front end on it inc. new chassis rails

As cortinas go in our part of the world this is a good one & i didnt pay to much for it, £600 which is very good for what i got (could have just resold it for £1200 easy )& as the project has to be done without spending to much most of the parts have come from 2 capri's i broke up & made money on !! so it should be done & painted for no more than £1500

no stigma here in Oz with LPG very very common :)
although not many 4 cylinder cars converted
majority of v8s and all taxi's

I know of a lot of 4 cylinder work utes that are converted to LPG but not oo many performance 4 cylinders. LPG gets alot of people around emission laws on modified V8's and 6's over here.

Hey mate.....
Just noticed something on your mk2...
Did you remove the bonnet rail and put the extra short one in on the right hand side or is that factory?
We have two of em over here and nothing on the right hand side.
Another slight variation like the hinges?

The bonnet rail was removed a few years ago when i had a c20xe red top (2ltr) in it as it hit the inlet, i still have it & may refit it one day !, The short bit i fitted myself as i find the single stock part a bit weak.

Yes she is on the road, I had to work hard the last few weeks to get it there too !! It drives very well with the mods its had & the mad motorway gearing i have in the back axle !! Its only up & running & the rest of the body work ect will be done as & when, but it is only my every day car so it aint going to be any show car !!!!
Its been on the road for 2 weeks now & i have now done nearly 1000 miles without any probs. so heres a few pics.....
