:yikes LOOK AT THE GREAT AFTER MARKET GAITER/COVER made for the precise sized hole for the shifter,
(THESE WILL BE IN DEMAND!!!!!). Other than the hole for the shifter, the floor seems as it does from underneath, RUST FREE :thumbs. I GUESS THIS IS REALLY THE START OF THE RESTO NOW?

the inner tube cover is a pretty good temporary fix I reckon, ingenious. The hole looks just about right for an escort gearbox now

The car came with an escort gearbox,(in the boot) is that what people do? Why are they better than the original?
Cause I just bought a remote to suit this one.

Thanks mate, that would be so good,
but need a seat bracket the one that holds em to the floor.
If its got the hole bit where the shifter comes out that would be good, cause at the moment I dont think I can even get to the bolts on the R/H
side, to fit the remote! So I have to make it bigger, so demensions of the hole would be great!!!! ANYONE????

No probs Mark, Ill cut well above the hole and right down the sides too, so youlll have the whole hole and then some spare all round. there will be plenty of tunnel to play with. Youll probably have to tidy up the jagged edgesyour tunnel......pity , it looks so good....hahaha

Dave that sounds unreal, All of a sudden seems that I have heaps going on,
heaps of people are helping me with bits n pieces & skills, its a really
great feeling, I'm underway now with every bodys help. Can you let me
know when you can the measurements of the floor hole?
