Hi all, another couple of questions from me :yikes
Is it only the GT cortinas that have the chrome strip that runs along the side & accross the boot?(mk1s)
& if yes are they hard to find & how much? (do they need clips to hold em on)

Are GT mk1 guages ( the 4), & the 7500 rpm tacho, the same in mk1s as mk2s ?

thanks again guys. 8)

Yes, only Australian GT's came with the chrome. UK 'Supers' had chrome, UK GT's didn't.

Not hard to find, but yes they do need clips to hold them on and you have to drill holes in your panels... Not sure what people are asking these days.

GT gauges are not the same between Mk1 and Mk2's. Mk1 gauges swing from the top, Mk2's from the bottom. But only nerds will know. :) Tacho's are different between the two also. Both will fit in the hole, but there might be issues with negative and positive earth (easy to fix) and the font and stuff is different.

Hi Mark the mk2 tacos dont have cortina printed in white in the middle and im pretty sure both only go to 7000 rpm
there is a few tacos and guages on ebay at the moment but they arnt cheap
as far as trim pieces go ive just completed my set it took over a year checking this site every day along with ebay your best bet is picking up a nearly complete set and then fill in the missing pieces, ebay uk is good but you need somone packing your item pretty well at the other end...
there are chrome pieces that clip over the door arch around the windows to but ive only seen one set of these before offered for sale
Thanks Flip
