Hi all,

Im still having trouble with my floor mounted hand brake. I have a cable I bought from a Cortina guy here in Adelaide but it's a couple of inches too long and no amount of adjustment is going to make it work. I'm using a Mk2 Escort hand brake lever in my car, Im wondering if thats the problem.
Can anyone tell me the correct length of a floor mounted hand brake cable? , I realize not everybody is going to have one laying around their shed and it'll be a bit difficult trying to measure it on the car, but I just dont know if I have the correct cable or not.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
Cheers
David

hi brushworks, thanks for that. Yeah I know the place, had my speedo cable done there a couple years ago but I think theyve closed down. Hopefully moved somewhere else close cos thatll be the next stop for me.
