Re doing the steering on my tina, i have 2 uj's in the set up apposed to one uj and that flexable rubber setup as per standard capri. As the shaft comes out of the rack at an angle and not at 90 degrees to the rack this means my uj's are running at different angles, am i right in saying uj's should run at the same angle? the column is obviously at 90 degrees to the rack but the shaft not running in the same plane i dont see any way round it. Also my top uj is running at 35 degree angle, maybe too much angle? it has no tight spots and seems to operate smoothly enough but just seams to much angle?
Any thoughts appreciated.

I have this same thing with my rack and pinion set up, top angle is tight, but range of movement is ok and doesnt bind, bottom uj looks good. In my set up the only way to aleviate the top angle would be to add in another uj mid way down shaft!! I dont think I will but may be something to consider.

Only thing there is u would need a support if using 3 uj's, which i dont have room for. Havin the V8 in it makes room an issue.

Dunno if this helps, but I reckon they might know what they are on about.

The bottom line is they don't like exceeding 20 degrees for a steering joint. It can be solved with multiple joints though.
