Hey Guys,
I have been into small fords since i started driving. which wasnt that long ago considering im 25.

One of my first daily drivers was a beastly 250 crossflow TE with a chunky 4.1 litre that set alarms off.

It was good fun but still a little like i was driving a small falcon.

My dad has been a keen fan of the mark 1s and has really gotten me interested after seeing some of the amazing style some of the little cars can show.

he originally offered me a 4 door mark1 65 to work on while he was working on his 2 door project. since then thing have changed and he has decided to get rid of them both. an oppurtunity cam up and i decided to take the 2 door off his hands and finish the project.

Most ofo the hard work has already been done as it was rescued nearly rusted to death in Adelaide.
After trailering it back to ACT he has done some extensive body work and had a go at his first paintjob which i think looks great.
looks like i get the fun part of assembly and whatever else pops up along the way.

heres some pics and ill post more as i progress. really looking forward to the learning experience ahead!

thanks for the comments guys.. all the hard work was done by my old man i just cant beleive how much of a bargain im getting it for and so glad i get to keep it in the family. i wouldent want him to miss driving it after all that working.. yeh only discovered the nationals today but looks like could be a good goal to get her going for that. i think for now i plan to get assembly finished and get it registered and drive it for a bit with the 1600 but later down the track funds permiting id love to put some more performance in there.
