I did read somewhere that Mk1 Escort front screen rubbers can be used in the rear screen for a MK2 Cortina estate. Not 100% perfect fit (a bit tight on the corners) , but close.

Obviously make your own checks.

East Kent Trim - UK based.

http://www.classiccar-trim.com/

I've heard mixed reviews about the quality of the products and the customer service , so I would only contact these as a last resort.

Has anyone used the Spectrum Rubber "Strut Top Mount - rerubber" service? If so how much does it cost and whats the quality of the finish product like?

I just got a full kit from Scotts a week ago and it's all good. We finnished measurements and prefit of everything today and can tell you all the boulded parts fit and look great. The tailight gaskets look homemade but it's a small complaint since they cant be seen once assembled and will fit just fine.

I'm in California so it's a bit of a pucker ordering from so far away. Including shipping it's an expensive proposition but it is nice doing business with somone who is honest and ships in a timely manner like Scotts.

Hi All

Just got some new body side 1/4 glass rubbers for my 2 door mk2 from East Kent
in the UK. I'm hoping to fit them next weekend. They look very good quality and i guy i know near me has some fitted in his GT. I have used these guys in the UK before for screen rubbers and trim parts and had no problems. True in the early
days there was a few issues with fit and finish, but they have all been put right as
far as i'm aware. If they hadn't i guess the cortina folk in the UK would not be using
them...

Mk2 Escort Wagon tailgate screen rubber will fit Mk2 Cortina Wagon tailgates as i know a guy on BSC who has used one. tight fit but it went in.

Would be cool to get new ones made and the side body glass for the wagon also.
I don't know anyone doing them and i guess there would be little or no market here
for them. The MK1 wagon seals are not the same, BOOOO!!!!lol....:thumbs

Spectrum and Scotts both list the same parts numbers. So which company is actually manufacturing the rubber items and who are just the resellers?

I'm looking for Vinyl to get my bench seat and maybe dash repaired. Anyone had any luck matching the wacky 60s tutone metallic blue vinyl (trim code 2413)?
