I started this car in November 2009 and it has taken me to this week to get it together and fired the engine up this weekend.
It is a 1200 delux 2 door made in the year i was dorn 1966.
1.6 crossflow with a type 9 5 speed box
rack conversion with RS front stuts and brakes.
adjustable rear suspension.
Recaro seats from god knows what.
Home made exhaust from a mk2 escort system and a golf rear box, sounds great.
I spent about a year removing the rot and welding in new metal,not because there was a lot but i am a very slow worker.I painted it in my garage just before the cold set in last year and it isnt that bad considering it is my first time painting.
hope to have it MOT and on the road this summer.
