hi anthoni and welcome :)
the best bet it to place strut inserts into the old strut body
you can still buy these inserts
koni, bilstein, kyb and monroe
still offer a replacement strut insert
unless yours are bent or something...
there are no other struts that 'bolt' in with out steering work im afraid

ive found inserts but the threads on the inside of my strut for the gland nut are dead. what do i do?

the easiest to do would be to use another set of struts....
its easy to wreck those threads btw..
or cutting and welding another piece on would be an option
but if you have a strut with good thread your better of using the whole strut instead :)

yeah the nut had not been touched in probably 40 years so it was stuck good, and i would love to get some different struts but i live in the U.S so it is very hard to find them, i have been searching but no luck yet. thanks for your help and quick response. Anthoni
