Bolt ins for Mk1

Hi Team,

Can someone please let me know if parts (suspension, steering) from an escort are straight swap overs for the mk1? This is my first Ford so have no idea.

Just thinking about getting a donor vehicle to save a bit of money.

but having said that people have used these MK2 escort and capri components in a mk1 cortina

its not an easy or straight forward swap
and defiantly not a 'bolt straight in' situation

I dare say the best bet is to get another Mk1 and line them up side by side and move over from one car to the other with a replacement or a refresh in between.

I wish I was finished the body as there is an ok one on the bay at the moment. Such is life. So many cars, so little space...
