I am not sure, but there was (is?) a guy named John Roberts (or something like that) who converts some Jap LSD unit to fit the english axle. I read about this in the www a while back but canīt find it again. Does anybody on here know him and/or have tried theese units?
It was an Australian guy.

For rear axles we use the Volvo 240 series 10-31 axle with a LSD, there are loads of them and at really good prices, diffrent ratios from 3,5 - 4,1 and they are bullit proof to. Only some 5 cm wider than the Cortina axle and having discs they are a very good way to go for high power cars. We are currently fitting one to my friends Cortina.

Yes, they looked suspiciously like the ones we use Bertil.
I am trying to find you the name of that guy as I read something about this a few years back. Not sure if I'm thinking of the right thing but I'll try digging something up.

Hi Bertil, the bloke you may be talking about IS a John Roberts. He used to own Rallysport, that he bought several years ago. It used to be in Whitehorse rd in Box Hill in Melbourne, then he moved to South Vermont then to Bayswater Rd in South Croydon. He is still very involved with rallying in Victoria and I believe he is on the Victorian Rally panel of CAMS. He is also a current member of the Austin Healey Sprite drivers Club Inc in Melbourne . I have his phone number if you wish to email me. Nice fella, very approachable and I'm pretty sure he used to Rally a Mk1 Cortina, hope this helps.

That's great. I hit a dead end pretty quick when I tried chasing this up all those months ago. I also read that there was a guy in Geelong doing something similar but it really wasn't worth chasing up.
