Gday All,
Stumbled upon this site and its pretty good stuff. I havent got access to post an ad on the wanted classifieds yet so I thought I might as well say hi.
I currently race a PRB clubman and potter around in a 66 P5 Rover. I am looking at meeting them half way and going for a pre airflow Mk1.
If anyone knows of any that are 100% complete but rough around the edges, let me know. I have just sprayed the rover so looking at honing in on some newly learned skills. I am located on the central coast NSW but have a trailer and dont mind going for a road trip for the right vehicle.
I am looking to get into classic rallys and historic racing down the track. And no, It wont be white with the green stripes :-)
Cheers and once again, great site.

hi damien
thanx for the nice comments and welcome :)
to post an add in the classified are you just need to make an register or make an account
if you still have problems let me know i will set up an account for you
a clubman is something anther member on here has built himself as well ...
i dont know of anything that is complete as most of the cars we see usually are less engine a trans
complete cars these days can be hard to find in good order and usually bring goof money
if you are after a 4 door your chances are improving as 2 doors now are very hard to find

Gday Again,
Yep, it still wont let me log in to post an ad sadly.
I prefer a two door over a four door for on track. I see a few floating around the traps but nobody answers my questions so I am guessing they are sold. I was even looking as far away as Melbourne and Brisbane! Sheesh!
Once again, great site.
If anyone wants to contact me re a pre airflow, please do at dmulally(@)yahoo.co.uk
Cheers

Hi All,
I have got my hands on a Mk 1 2 door shell that is in fairly ok shape. I will need to do some panel beating but no welding which is good.
I pick it up this weekend so will be sure to whack up some pics of the progress.
I guess the next task once the body is looking done is to get a rusty donor 4 door and swap it all over and replacing/cleaning as I swap them from car to car.
I guess I could waste a bit of money here but at least I will be able to know where everything goes right away to take some of the guess work out.
I have never owned a corty before. In fact, I have this week fully completed my resto of my daily driver 66 Rover p5. I guess that will go when its time for rego as too many cars already!
If anyone could steer me in the direction of a cortina specialist that would be handy.
Cheers and once again, great site. I tried cortina central at fforums but it is 99% about those ghastly late model cortinas which make me ill.

gday Jewels,
Havent decided on that yet. I currently do supersprinting and have signed up to the classic rally club for this year.
In those both I can use whatever setup I like.
I was however toying with the idea of racing historics and that sort of limits my choice to a 1500 which isnt the worst thing in the world I know.
If I do go modern I will probably look at playing with a Zetec with webers. The rover v8 will have to go on hold as that would just be too much fun.
Ill busy myself with the body and when it comes time to choosing the running gear I will flip a coin.
Cheers
Damo
