Thanks for the link GQ, I know what a world cup x member is.....My question more pertained to: What is an Escort x-member doing on a Cortina that is listed as an appendix J car?? Does that mean it has an Escort rack also?? It says it has 4 wheel discs as well, so definetly NOT legal to race as it sits..
And I'm not sure if an 83.5mm bore is legal too, but Im not 100% on that.

I have personally viewed the white lotus cortina. I has been for sale at Duttons for nearly 12 months. It isnt that special. Needs a very good tidy up.

Has been running as a tarmac rally car and has a disc brake rear end fitted. But I did not notice the cross member. It would take a bot of money to make it legal for group N. The guys at Duttons has NO IDEA when it comes to these cars. They should stick to Porsches!

And the motor is too big for group N also.

Would not pay any more than 45g for it

One belongs to a CMOOC member and the other is a former member.

Had a look at the red and yellow one a few weeks ago, and it is a great looking car, probably worth the money, but a bit out of my price range for a bitumen race car. That's why I'll be going for a kent powered one
cheers

Go the pushrods!

But saying that, if I had the Coin I would be running a lotus cortina!

We need more MKI in group N. At the Phillip Island classic the other week we had nearly 10 of them. Was really good racing....pitty I didnt see any of them, they were all behind me HAHA

Bit off topic, but can someone do a bit of a writeup on the P.I. event please? For those of us that couldn't make it.

Arr yes my friend.....but to win one must finish! And I finished all 4 races. 3 class wins and 1 second. He DNF in the trophy race.

It is a very fast car that one. He is the only cortina I have raced against, both pushrod and lotus that I have not beaten.....YET!
