Hi guys just thought id share some photos of my mk1. We did the conversion ourselves in about 1999. We resessed the firewall to give us some more room and made a whole new tunnel and chassis cross member. The car was in fast fours and rotaries mag in 2005 its got sparco seats 4 point cage harnesses ect. At the moment though its got a broken axle if any one knows where i can get one that would be great. Thanks Sam

Hi Jewels, Its the std cortina diff and its snapped the axle just past the spline. The actual diff survived this time. The fast fours mag was dec 2002 (thought it was 2005 just checked) its got a silver lancer on the cover.

Should upgrade it your right but the car only does about 500kms a year and that one has been in there since we did the conversion. So if i get another ten years or so out of this one i will be wrapped. The length of the good axle is 670mm thats standing upright on the wheel studs, i assume the broken one is the same length, if you do have one pmolly i would gladly purchase it. thanks again sam
