Hi Jewels
I don't believe there is a forum, its just a mailing list. a reply to any of the messages rhat you recieve should get you heard/read.
Did I do something wrong listing the link to the GT500 info?

mail address is
cortina-list@lotus-cortina.com

sign up info is at
http://www.lotus-cortina.com/subscribe/subscribe.htm

There is no history or archive so if you need something specific you will have to ask someone that doesn't ever delete their mail. Hope this is some what helpful.

Gary

p.s. - email me if you don't find what you are looking for, I keep most of the stuff, it just may be hard to find with yahoo mail

OK, the other night I read that something (from Mike Summers) is being talked up on the Atlas F1 site so I went to have a look. I read all that is posted on the Atlas F1 Site about the GT500 and the various experts are quoting stuff. When I get back to mail there is a message from Glenn Wallace to the group on a paper he's got on the GT500 that may take some time to find. I has a bit of a think, and a search through my computer I find a 21 page GT500 TSB. I don't normally change the names on documents that I down load so I do a google search on the name and get a hit and its your site Jewels so I post the link and tell folks that if you are into Cortina's and are not a member, maybe they should join. You See, I am a bit dyslexic and words on the computer screen don't jump out at me and give the full meaning, I need a photo or two and no matter how good a mailing list is, without photos its missing the mark by some. Bob Woolners mailing list goes out to over 1000 folks (when I asked several years ago) and mostly its the same 30 or so folks that offer up help and info on various Cortina related sites around the globe. Bobs Cortina list is pretty much real time, forums are a 24 hour type of thing but its usually easier to find stuff so there is a real need for both, I just think that The LCR site is to restrictive and Bobs is too verbal. This site offers the best of all of the current forums and I hope others will join and offer ther various expertise.
I own 4 mk1's (3 GT's and a LoCort, all airoflows) at the moment, I haven't driven one on the road since 1980 (1965 estate with a twin cam), I had one mk1 GT running several years ago but it was a field car and I sold it to find a better one. I hope to get 2 running sometime and cut down on the collection of cars that I won't ever get to (Ha, Ha, Ha)
I am no expert on most subjects Cortina but I have an interest in part due to the fact that much of the drivetrain was the basis for the Lotus Elan and I have to many of those also. I guess what I am getting around to is you need an introduction section on this forum, we all come from different parts of the globe and somehow got involved with Cortinas. An intro topic is always a good read and help others to better understand the people that contribute.

Did I answer your question Jewels?

PhilM - Tell your wife that No-reguard Beauregard is out wetting a bush and pinching a loaf at the moment and is probably sitting out on the deck melting a bit of frozen rain, waiting for me to come outside and though the iced slimeball.
