Hello friends, i just found a british ford consul cortina 1962 2 doors similar to lotus cortina, i am interested in becoming it as a Lotus cortina, but not with the lotus engine, i have found a toyota engine in similar aparence that is model 16 AG or 4AG (dont remeber right now) its a twin cam with 8 valves, here in Peru we have good restorers , but i am looking for parts such as the front grill, front and tail lamps, lotus badge´s, bumpers, bezels, etc, if you could help me with web sites preferly in US, i hope you can help me , thank you very much

Peru, there is a Cortina in every corner of the globe isn´t it! I´m in Sweden myself!
Post some pics of your car!
Getting it into a Lotus is a very common way of modifying a Cortina. But to get the proper Lotus look you need alot of expensive and hard to find pieces. Have a look around pics of Cortinas and find your own way of converting your car and make it more personalized than it will be in a Lotus look. I think you will have more fun doing it that way.
Personally I am sick and tired of white and green Cortinas, especially when they are not Lotus Cortinas. However I do not judge anyone for fulfilling their dreams, the important thing is that it is a Cortina!

White Cortina looks common. I've seen a light brown one and it looks good. (I am really sure but it looks somewhere between brown and caramel. :) ) It's a proof that Ford offers classic and sophisticated models. Hope you can get all the stuffs you needed for the preservation of that car. Anyway, did anyone here read Ford's team up with Toyota? (I've seen it here: Ford and Toyota team up to make light hybrid trucks (http://www.cardealexpert.com/news-information/auto-news/ford-toyota-light-hybrid-trucks/). ) I'm just really curious if this two companies will be able to bring a new wave of light hybrid trucks to the driving public. Well, let's see.
