are crossflow engine mounts different to pre-crossflow ?

im pretty sure they are

when a crossflow is fitted to a mk1

for starters a crossflow block is about 10mm wider at the engine mounting bosses.

ok so you can use 1500 mounts on a crossflow block fitted in a mk1 ?

Only 711M block are wider and it's 1/2" which is all on the left mount bosses.

You can use Mk1 mounts but you have trouble getting the bolts started due to the engine sitting higher in the x-member, your options are slot the x-memeber or machine the mount bosses on the block.
