1971 Mark II Ford Cortina 440L
Asking $2,000 O.N.O
4 door, 3speed Auto (Bigger trans tunnel for bigger gearboxes ;) )
Interior in good condition for the age
Centre Console in great condition!!!
Has all the original 440L badges and chrome grill
Door skins near immaculate
Dash has a 1 crack in it
Carpet in good condition
Plastic Boot mat
All gauges work
All lights work (apart from one parker light, loose connection)
Current wheels on the car are 13X5.5’s
I have a set of Cheviot Turbo 13X6 rims with a near perfect offset (sit flush with the guard) that can go with the car for the right price :)
It has a Recaro front driver’s seat. But I have the original seat also that will go with the car.
Engine runs well
Transmission runs well, shifts are not sloppy
Diff is not noisy
Suspension in great condition
Comes with a few spares like, indicator stalk, engine mounts, thermostat housing
I bought the car as my wife needed a car as i used our only car for work. Once work offered me a Work car i thought i would love to restore the Cortina and so started tracking parts etc.
My wife was using the car as her run about. Cruises well at 90-100kph as we live in the Adelaide Hills.
I now have a company car and my wife uses our other main car and no longer have the time to restore the car to how i had dreamt. (Due to work and family)
It has a fairly straight body! A scratch\dent mark along the passenger door is about the only proper dent i could find.
It has the usual rust spots but has not been eaten away by rust.
If anyone wants more information \ pictures let me know.
My wife or I can show the car after 5pm weekdays or anytime on weekends.
