    Hy gurus, can someone please confirm that for a street car (even a hot one) the 619 engine is just as good of a candidate as the 711m? But if you want to race then the 711M is the 'block of choice'? Cheers, Rob.

    I have a 1967 MK11 1500cc Cortina, can anyone enlighten me regarding the bonnet catch, the grill has the hole above the centre badge but it now has a release inside on the drivers side. The conversion appears to be of a professional manufacture, did Ford ever make this conversion as an update?

    Hi, I have a 65' Mk1 440 sedan, and need a couple of bits to finish it off. I realise the dash handbrakes are rare, and I have the spare sitting in the side of the boot, but it's not properly restrained, I see there should be a bracket with two holes that bolts to the floor.

    Ok, on a mk1 the clutch master cylinder attaches to clutch hose, which attaches to the slave, which drives the arm, should this be attached to the release bearing? all the literature I find says yes, but mine is not.     I see you can get the Prop shaft /tail shaft universal joints with or without the grease nipples. The sales pitch for without is these are old tech and were never greased so why have them? thoughts?

    I'm looking for an adjustable rear spring shackle to give the Corsair a slight lift at the rear for back road driving. I can't find a shackle lift kit for the Cortina, but there's one available for the Capri. Does the Capri have the same 7/16 inch shackle bolts as the Cortina and Corsair?

    havnt heard of a 619 either or will do but if building from scratch may as well use the 711 as the base cost will be the same for a engine to build from expect to pay 6k for a rebuilt 120hp engine

    Common mod to weld a chunk of metal in that spot to stop them flexing. Likely to have been swapped out due to crashes. Can't see any reason you couldn't swap a GT spring in there, as long as it's kept captive at full droop.
