I always thought white was white but have recently found out that this is not the case and it has many shades .., does anyone have the paint code?...

I'd waver a guess that before 50 years of water jacket corrosion, you could probably get away with a +90 overbore much more easily than today. That's why it's getting tricky to find a block with enough meat in it to safely make a big bore. If you only wanted to do it once, it might be better to...

I see available a +90 piston .. which I guess because they make them, must be ok for these engines with no problems? .. what is the downside of the bore walls being too thin? rings not sealing properly and...

That would be because they were 240 models not GT's. Cortinas were built as 220, 240, 440 and GT models here in Aus.

All MK1 and MK2 GT Cortinas (including 63 strip speedo version) have the same looking GT badges on the rear quarters. The original MK1 badges had a plastic insert but MK2 and replacement after-market badges were a pressed unit. The 63 (strip speedo) and 64 GTs did not have a GT boot badge. All rear...

New venue. The Victorian College for the Deaf is located at 597 St Kilda Rd, Melbourne. I'll probably get there for a bit; sans car (again). Be at least one debut car at the meet. :)
